Peer Progress Reviews
We had 2 rounds of peer progress reviews last week and this week. During the reviews we found out the necessity to add some deliverables to further help with the process of Restorative Justice.
We decided to make a journal along with a glossary booklet for children to express emotions and a motion piece for teachers to learn about RJ. Potential tools for the middle stage of the conversation is lacking. One came to my mind was a set of emotion cards that could be used to identify the children’s emotion and start the conversation more easily.
In this way we can cover the whole process of RJ.
Research & Insight Presentation
Today we had our research & insight presentation.

Broad Idea Generation
Problem Title: Childhood Poverty in Cincinnati
Today we had a meeting to generate the broad ideas about the 3 problem spaces.
First, we used mind mapping to identify the factors related to POVERTY.

Then we picked 3 main points from the mapping, which are Insecurity, Education and Family.

After this, each of the 3 members picked their own interested problem spaces and together we decided which to present.

The final 3 problem spaces are: Access, Mental Health, Break the Cycle
Finally we developed our boards:

On Wednesday, we will give our presentation based on the 3 sources.
Here we go!
This is Rachel, Birdo and Mal.
From now on we will be working on Design Methodologies and this blog is a way to record.
